Something needed to change. I couldn’t live the rest of my life feeling unhappy, unmotivated and unhealthy. After a long journey with my dad going through his own health issues, I decided to attend nutrition school to learn how I could help others avoid what my family had been through. I never realized how much would change… I had my own health coach and I participated in my first detox. So much changed for me just in that one week. I was smiling more and had less bloating. More importantly, I felt more energized and confident than I had in a long time. Eventually I was even able to stop taking the antidepressant I was prescribed when I was 12. I was more optimistic and excited about life rather than dragging myself out of bed and complaining all day about feeling like SHIT.

I know the word ‘detox’ sounds scary but can I ask you a question? What do you have to lose? Better yet, what do you have to gain? Believe me, I was absolutely terrified when I participated in my first detox. I called my health coach freaking out but I trusted her and knew I wasn’t going to suffer all week. I also knew I wasn’t the only one who was nervous. But I was ready for something to change in my life. Guess what? If I didn’t participate back then, I would still be feeling unhealthy and unhappy. If I hadn’t made that investment in myself, there is no way I would be where I am today. Sometimes it’s about taking a risk, right? We’ve been told that the magic happens outside of our comfort zones.
