8 Gifts for Women with Anxiety
Do you have a loved one who is struggling with anxiety and you don’t know how to help?
Or are you feeling stressed out and overwhelmed this holiday season and need some ideas to slow down and get grounded?
I totally get it. It can cause even more anxiety to not be able to find the perfect gift and/or to receive a gift that feels meaningless and just creates more clutter.
I often recommend and give my clients gifts to allow them to be mindful and present. I love giving gifts and wanted to share a few simple ideas with you if you are looking to give a loved one hope through their anxiety, depression, fear, overwhelm, etc.
Additionally, if you would like me to chat with them, I can write up a gift certificate for a call with me if you feel they (or you!) could talk to someone. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to make a request.
Here are 8 simple gift ideas for women with anxiety:
Writing in a journal is an important way to express thoughts and feelings. Find a journal that fits your loved one’s personality. If they love dogs, the color orange, or sunsets, find a journal that represents those concepts. If they are passionate about protecting the environment, find a recycled material journal. There are many journal types and sizes available in stores and online.
Coloring book with colored pencils
Adult coloring has been shown to decrease stress and anxiety. There are now many adult coloring books available with mandalas, pictures and even swear words! Find a coloring book that will best fit them along with colored pencils to start using right away.
I could give a long list of books that I love for anxiety and emotions but one of my first self-help favorites is You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. This book touches on so many things in life and allows us to realize we can heal from anything once we put our minds to it. Anything by Brene Brown is also good for dealing with shame, fear, perfectionism and vulnerability. If they don’t like to read, you can get them an audio book.
Massage or Yoga Gift Certificate
Self-care is extra important for women struggling with anxiety. They are stuck in their heads with too much thinking and need to get back into their bodies. Massage is a perfect way to release toxins from the body and ease tension in tight muscles. Yoga is a great tool to learn breathing, balance and stretching out the muscles. These will both help to get them out of their heads and focus more on their bodies and relaxation.
Mug and Tea
I just love how many mugs have been giving to me as gifts. Most of them have uplifting words and quotes with pretty font. I always have a variety of herbal tea for stress, sleep, digestion, hormones and energy. Yogi tea is my favorite since they come with sweet little messages on the tea bag. Sipping tea is a wonderful way for someone to de-stress and relax at anytime of the day.
Bracelet with meaning
On Cape Cod we have so many amazing local artists, including jewelry makers. They make mala bead necklaces, birthstone earrings and charm bracelets. Finding a handmade piece of jewelry with meaning is such a thoughtful gift that they can wear to remind them of your love and kindness.
Essential Oils and Diffuser
It wasn’t until recently that I started learning more about the benefits of essential oils. Lavender is one of my favorites to help calm the body and mind. It’s easy to carry around in a purse or diffuse in the air when getting into bed since it helps with sleeping.

Of course I had to add my HOPE Journey Candle to this list! This candle was specifically created to help women breathe, reduce anxiety and stress and use their senses to get out of their heads. The vanilla blend is the perfect scent for this all natural soy candle. It comes with a 5-minute calming guided meditation and a special gem and note. It is an inexpensive and thoughtful gift and $1 of each purchase goes to an empowering women charity called WECAN.
